Tattoo Removal

Permanent tattoo removal with Q-switched Nd:YAG — most colours, 6–12 sessions.

RenovaAura uses Q-switched Nd:YAG laser, which fragments tattoo ink into particles small enough for the body to absorb. Black ink responds best, followed by dark blue and red. Yellow, green, and light blue are more resistant but improvable over more sessions.

What you might notice

Symptoms

  • Unwanted tattoo from past decisions, breakups, or career changes
  • Faded amateur tattoos
  • Lightening professional tattoos in preparation for cover-up
  • Cosmetic tattoo (eyebrows, lip line) removal
What's actually happening

Common causes

  • Permanent ink particles deposited in the dermis
  • Particles too large for normal immune clearance
  • Different inks at different depths in the skin
How RenovaAura treats this

Our approach.

  1. 1Assess tattoo: colour, age, ink density, location, skin type
  2. 2Test spot to predict response
  3. 3Q-switched Nd:YAG laser sessions, 6 weeks apart
  4. 4Typical course: 6–12 sessions for amateur tattoos, 10–15+ for professional
  5. 5Aftercare: keep dry, no sun, no picking scabs
  6. 6Realistic counselling: some colours and densities don't fully clear

Patient questions

What people usually ask.

Yes — similar to getting the tattoo but in shorter bursts. Topical numbing cream is applied beforehand to reduce discomfort.
Rarely with Q-switched laser — but always a possibility, especially in patients prone to keloid or with very dense old ink.
